If I am not in when you call Prince, I am not "obviously out walking the dogs".

Where were you when we sold Mike Whitlow?

Any idea? I have. You see sometimes you need to know an odd fact like this. Take the interview scenario for instance.

You’re probably nervous. So is the interviewer. You get asked some pretty straight forward questions to start. Can you drive? What are your interests out of work? What do you consider are your strengths and weaknesses? The interview is going well. You’re both smiling, making good eye contact (that's always a good idea). You’re on a roll. You’re relaxed enough to chuck in a couple of gags (but hey, not too many!). Then out of nowhere comes a question you haven’t rehearsed.

There’s no avoiding it. You need an answer and you need one quick. So what’s the question you haven’t rehearsed? This question that puts you on your backfoot, what is it? A question seemingly so innocent in its construction and delivered as an afterthought. A question that many others before you have failed to answer properly. A question that requires an answer so precise, that it alone will probably define how well your interview goes.

Every interview has one. The interview at pgk will. So are you ready for it? It may come at the start or the end, but one things for sure. Nobody has left our interview room without having been asked it.

For some it’s the last time they see this room.

Here are some interesting (and some not very interesting) thoughts we have had recently. Read On.
