pgk took advantage of National Construction Week to launch Consort Homes' Student of the Year Award, offering a placement at Consort for talented students from Leeds College of Building. The winner/s would receive a cash reward, a bespoke tool kit and a salaried job on completing their course.

The award aimed to improve the level of connectivity between construction industry employers and education providers and to facilitate greater collaboration between schools/colleges and business so that construction education can develop and grow to more comprehensively fulfil the needs of students and industry employers in the future.
